Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.1. Supervising assigned accounting personnel.2. Review and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.3. Preparing and reviewing entries for monthly amortization, allocations, fixed assets, and corrections.4. Profit and Loss reporting and explanation related to budget vs. actual variations.5. Communication with customers, Operations management and billings staff related to past due accounts and collections. 6. Communications with vendors, Purchasing, Accounts Payable staff, and Accounting management related to planned schedule of payments.7. Providing support and reports to Operations and Management.8. Implementing and maintaining accounting and financial guidelines, process controls and procedures.9. Cash flow management, projection and updating reports of actual.10. Assisting Operations Management with annual budget planning company-wide, forecasting and any other projects.11. Participation in Management team meetings, as required.12. Assisting with bank and financial audits as needed.
Required Education & Experience:1. Five plus years of progressive management experience in a related field.2. Degree in related field preferred but will accept 5 to 10 years of commensurate experience.
Working Conditions:1. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at company field offices and various sites away from the home office.2. Strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds.3. Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.4. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.5. Regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, with some exposure to weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and/or rainy weather.

Sample Technician
Location: Lake Charles, LADate Position Available: ImmediatePay Scale: DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Complying with terminal regulations and requirements necessary for access.2. Ensuring that client instructions are on hand and understood before starting operations or taking over a shift.3. Sampling bulk material from moving conveyor belt with appropriate equipment to ASTM or equivalent standards.4. Obtaining and recording temperatures of bulk materials.5. Splitting and crushing obtained samples as per the client’s and Sampling Supervisor’s instructions.6. Storing, bagging, sealing, labeling, and packaging sample bags of sampled material.7. Maintaining Sample Log during sampling operations.8. Filling out necessary custody control documents before turning over samples to a third party.9. Remaining at the place of work until properly relieved in person by oncoming relief.10. Participating in monthly safety meetings.11. Regularly clean on-site storage/office units after each job and as required.
Required Education & Experience:1. High School Diploma or six (6) months sampling experience.2. Current valid driver’s license.3. Current valid Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC).
Working Conditions:1. Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and rainy weather, combined with some regular work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.2. Must wear hearing, eye, and head protection, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).3. Some climbing (20 feet or higher), bending, stooping, and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.4. Staff Surveyor/Auditor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Performing marine surveys and/or audits in the field as directed by the Area Manager or Vice President and as required by the company’s ISO Quality and Environmental Procedures.2. Ensuring the timely flow of information to/from clients throughout the survey and/or audit process in the field. Acknowledging receipt of assignment to client when designated, and ensuring preliminary advice is prepared and submitted after completion of fieldwork when required. 3. Producing and submitting concise, technically, and grammatically correct survey and/or audit reports based on the appropriate report template in line with Company procedures, schedules, and customers’ requirements.4. Assisting the Area Manager with the handling of customer complaints and adjustment of invoices.5. Recognizing potential new business and bringing such to the attention of management.6. Promoting company services in the marine industry including visiting clients and participating in industry activities.7. Following the company’s Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Manual requirements, including participating in monthly safety meetings.8. Pursuing personal development through in-house training, appropriate external training opportunities, and joining professional organizations.9. Assisting with the management and training of more junior personnel.10. Ensuring that proper PPE is maintained and worn at all times.11. Ensuring all required equipment is calibrated and in good working order and records maintained as per our Quality and Environmental Procedures.12. Obtaining proper credentials to enter terminals, docks, and job sites as appropriate, and maintaining records as required by Company procedures.
Education/Experience Required:1. College graduate, maritime college preferred, or the equivalent time in the marine industry - five (5) years sea-going experience in a certificated position, or five (5) years’ experience in marine surveying field, or five (5) years of comparable marine experience.
2. Membership of NAMSGlobal is preferred but not required.
3. Report and technical writing skills will be a consideration.
4. Current valid driver’s license.
5. Current valid Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC).
Working Conditions:1. Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, wet, dusty, etc.
2. Must wear hearing, eye, and head protection, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
3. Some climbing (40’ or higher, some unprotected), bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 50 pounds) are involved.
4. Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials.
5. Work on marine vessels or in shipyard settings, walking over uneven surfaces.
6. Enter round manholes with inside diameters of 18”, and other internally confined spaces.
7. Use of traverse gangways, ladders, and scaffolding at varying heights.
8. Examining cargo, including photographing, and accessing difficult areas.
9. Available/On call 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Producing and submitting concise, technically and grammatically correct survey and/or audit reports based on the appropriate report template in line with Company procedures and schedules, and the customers’ requirements.5. Peer reviewing of reports, photograph albums, and documentation when designated by an Area Manager or Management.6. Assisting the Area Manager with the handling of customer complaints and adjustment of invoices.7. Recognizing potential new business and bringing such to the attention of management.8. Promoting company services in the marine industry including visiting clients and participating in industry activities.9.
